EMAG lathe is now operational

Last year, a brand new EMAG lathe was delivered to Proferro for the mechanical finishing of steel and cast pieces. It has now been officially commissioned, taking our production process to the next level.

The new lathe consists of two spindles that are connected by a round table with a gantry robot above it, two tool posts with 12 tools each, as well as a center drill for creating centering holes in workpieces. This range of features enables us to produce finished workpieces in a single operation.

This is also an ideal opportunity for us to thank the entire project team for their efforts in commissioning this high-tech lathe!
