New loading robot operational at Proferro

This week a new robot was put into service at Proferro for the automatic loading and unloading of parts. The robot can pick up 30 different parts without requiring any conversion, using 4 magnetic grippers, which it can change independently. In addition, the robot is equipped with a 3D camera, which allows it to recognize parts. Thanks to this additional functionality, parts do not have to be positioned in advance by an operator, which has resulted in considerable time savings.

Finally, the robot cell was also equipped with a tilting station for tilting parts and a blow-off box for blowing parts clean. This investment further extends the automation process within Proferro.
