Water treatment at Proferro

Over the past few years, Proferro has progressively initiated a water treatment process as a solution for reducing deposits and contamination in our cooling systems. This involves purifying the water using pre-filtration and post-filtration and a catalyst.

Not only is such a catalyst more environmentally friendly than conventional solutions (biocide use reduction) but it also improves our cooling performance, as well as making it possible to produce more with the same level of water consumption.

In general, we have seen that this water treatment process is very successful because it is leading to a positive change in deposit formation and pollution as well as a reduction in our maintenance costs.
